The comfort zone is a dream-killer
Did you know that many people actually fear success more than failure?
This is why they choose to stay small, when they are being called to bigger things. You must step OUT of your comfort zone… and push past the fear in order to fly.
Pushing past your comfort zone is well, uncomfortable. It can trigger dormant trauma, and cause anxiety, confusion, insecurity and more. Often when people experience these emotions they will begin to blame others. It's their bosses' fault, or their spouse for 'requiring' them to do certain tasks. The only true way out of your problems though, is THROUGH them. Otherwise you are simply putting off what will be necessary for growth, or accepting a life of settling.
Settling inside your comfort zone is the ultimate dream-killer. It is truly an insult to your full potential, which is basically what God is encouraging you to fulfill. To better yourself, it is ok to require support, as that is how humans are designed to interact with each other, within small communities where we share our strengths to help others who are weaker in those areas.
This is what I do, I offer a hand down to pull others up. How did I get to where I can do so?
One reason is because I grew up with martial arts since age 8. Constantly aiming to reach the next stripe, the next belt. I learned how to take constructive criticism without my pride being stung. This is something that most people cannot do! They hear where they need to improve and they feel ashamed, and sink lower. These are not the kind of people I coach. I coach those who are at the stage in their healing journey where they accept that to grow they MUST be willing to acknowledge and address their weaker areas.
We ALL have them! There truly is no shame in the path of self-improvement, unless you allow it. This is coming from someone who was raised to meet an impossible standard, nothing I did was ever good enough to please my mother. If I performed miserably she verbally tore me to shreds. If I excelled she criticized me to destroy any confidence I had built as that would threaten her ability to control me. My childhood was a nightmare, but nonetheless I will not let it hold me back in life.
The fact that I was able to not only survive this type of upbringing, but go on to follow my dreams and open a storefront dojo on my own at age 21 is a miracle!
I spent the next 9 years training hundreds of students ages 4-60+ on how to learn to protect themselves and have the self-assurance that they lacked when they first came to my facility. I also helped their families learn to eat better and engage in more self-care, and I held people accountable as that is how we can best show love! Coddling those around us and creating co-dependency is actually abuse.
This decade of experience gave me the skills I needed to be able to learn about true healing, and how to hold space for others as they transform. Now that I have energy healing techniques as well, I help clients have life-changing breakthroughs!
You may want to offer this opportunity to others as well… but first YOU need to go through learning how to use courage and motivation to accomplish the life you desire. If you want to help others, you must first walk this path yourself.
